By following the steps below, a calibration number for the specific tool
will be determined.
1. Perform a joint study to determine joint rate of tool application.
2. Set up UFT tester fastener and joint rate to match that of application.
3. Set up and verify calibration of torque auditing equipment (inline
transducer, hand torque wrench, etc.).
4. Perform a minimum of ten rundowns, and record the tool controller
display values and the torque measuring equipment display value.
5. Add all the values of the tool controller display and divide by the
number of operations.
6. Add all the values of the torque auditing equipment display and divide
by the number of operations.
7. Using the following formula, calculate the new tool calibration number.
