About the Instructor
Michael Hawes has over 20 years experience in tightening and measuring bolted connections.
He has worked on a wide variety of assembly applications, including in the following industries:
- Light-to-Medium Assembly: automotive, aircraft, motorcycles, RV's, boats, personal watercraft, electronics, and telecommunications.
- Heavy Industrial: railroad, locomotives, power generation, refineries, foundries, shipbuilding, offroad and construction equipment.
- Medical: pacemakers, defibrillators, halo clamps, safety syringes, and implants.
- Government: ammunition, weapon systems, flight, space, surface ship, submarines, and tanks.
Michael Hawes is the Business Development Manager for the Torque Measurement Systems product group at AIMCO. His responsibilities include presenting seminars throughout the U.S. and international sites, developing tutorials for torque tightening seminars and conducting torque/clamp load studies for numerous clients.
