Understanding Pulse
Tools
|
|
Imagine...Virtually
every solution for all your fastening requirements! |
|
|
PRODUCTIVITY |
 |
- High speed rundown, reducing fastening
time
- One hand operation freeing the other for
productive use
- Less fatigue and increased productivity
|
|
ERGONOMICS |
- Virtually no reaction impulse during and
after fastener rundown
- Fast rundown reducing operator exposure
- High power-to-weight ratio
- Low vibration and noise level
|
|
RELIABILITY |
- No mechanical clutch or hard part
engagement for low maintenance and longer life
- Automatic shut-off series is
self-diagnostic
- Extended socket and extension life
|
|
QUALITY |
- Extremely accurate on properly designed
joints
- Excellent clamp force repeatability
- Torque monitoring and fastening counter
available for on-line verification
- Electronic control and monitoring
available for performance verification

RELIABILITY |
 |
Because of the AcraPulse
Series' pulse mechanism vs. the conventional metal-to-metal
manner mechanism of the standard impact or gear & clutch
driven nutrunner, the AcraPulse Series offers exceptional
life and low maintenance. |

Torque and Tension
Most joints are assembled to specification that are determined by
torque or tension (clamp load) requirements. Torque is torque
regardless of the tool type used. However, tension has completely
different characteristics and behavior. |
 |
|
Gear driven tools apply constant turning
force to seat the fastener -- much line winding up a rubber band.
Problems can occur with joint alignment during rundown and joint
relaxation after fastening or during product use. |
|
Pulse tools apply power in a series of
pulses in a typical rundown. This pulsing allows the joint to, in a
sense, relax between pulses during final tightening and there is a
closer relationship between dynamic and static tension, providing the
user with more consistent, secure tightening. |
